The PDAs contesting for record breaking popularity today include Blackberry Curve 8300 and T-mobile.
The BlackBerry Curve 8300 is the latest hip smart phone that has it all to increase PDA users, and scale down the conventional cell phone sales. It is pretty and has soft round corners it also includes the RIM’s QWERTY-keyboard equipped PDAs which is the legacy being continued since Pearl device.
It Supports the GSM frequencies (800, 850, 1800, and 1900 MHz). Curve’s data transfer rates top out at 2.5-G EDGE speeds also the lack of Wi-Fi or HSDPA makes this not too powerful but it is indeed useful device.
If seen this PDA, it is a cool replacement for the conventional cell phones with lot of useful features.. it can become a popular PDA but if seen as a business prospective it is not as useful as blackberry 8800 also it doesn’t have 3G or Wi-Fi support. Not to forget the GPS and navigation software that come with the 8800.
T-mobile Wing was the the first PDA to ship preloaded with Windows Mobile 6.0 also it has too many cool features, which include image and video camera, messaging, and the familiar Windows-like menu system with applications to work.
The phone includes Office Mobile with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Windows Live for Windows Mobile (with Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, Live Search, and Live Spaces) Windows Media Player and a My Documents folder structure for storing files and multimedia.
Other apps include Instant Messaging (for use with AOL, ICQ, and Yahoo), Java applications, a T-Mobile HotSpot log-in shortcut, and a voice recorder. The T-Mobile Wing comes with a 2.8-inch touch-screen display
I couldn’t understand some parts of this article DA Cell Phones : Cell Phones, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
